Logging the use of our website

Our Internet pages serve both to provide general information and, in some cases, to enable you to deal with the authorities without having to visit our citizens' office in person.

If you only wish to obtain information and do not enter any personal data in the form fields, we collect the following technical information during use:

  • Requested page
  • Referrer URL
  • Date and time of the server request
  • Status of the server query
  • Amount of data transferred
  • IP address
  • User agent (browser & operating system)

These log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. The data is stored solely for security reasons, e.g. to be able to clarify cases of misuse, and is not merged with other data sources. If data has to be cancelled for reasons of proof, it is excluded from deletion until the incident has been finally clarified. The same settings and rules also apply to the data servers "daten.verwaltungsportal", "fotos.verwaltungsportal.de", "vorschau.verwaltungsportal.de" and "layout.verwaltungsportal.de", which belong to the backend system of our website provider. In the event of an attack on our website, the relevant log data will be passed on to the responsible law enforcement authorities.

Use of the contact form

The use of our contact form is voluntary. Communication via the contact form is not legally binding. To submit applications, documents or declarations of intent, we therefore ask you to visit our citizens' office in person or to use our eGovernment services or the postal service.

In order to send a message via our contact form, you must provide the following information:

  • Name
  • e-mail address
  • Telephone number (optional)
  • Description of your request

We need the data to process your enquiry. The data will not be linked to other information and will be deleted after processing.

Communication via the contact form is automatically encrypted according to the state of the art. If the SSL encryption of this website is activated, sensitive data that you transmit to us via this website (e.g. via the contact form) cannot be read by third parties. You can recognise an active encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If encryption is active, the data that you transmit to us via the website cannot be read by third parties.

Use of the online forms

The use of our online forms is voluntary and serves the purpose of fast and unbureaucratic commissioning of services. The transmission of online forms completed online is automatically encrypted using state-of-the-art SSL (https). The necessity of the data to be entered by you depends on your request and results from the respective forms that you call up. We need the data you enter to process your enquiry. The data will not be linked to other information and will be deleted after processing in compliance with statutory retention periods.

Use of a 2-click solution for iframe integrations

A 2-click solution for so-called iframe integrations is activated on our website. This function ensures that no connection is established with the servers of the provider of the respective website when a page of our website containing such integrations of third-party websites is called up. However, by clicking on the window, you can display the content and thus confirm the differing data protection conditions of the integrated websites. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the third-party websites as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in the data protection information of the corresponding website or provider.
