    Persons who wish to take over a catering business requiring a licence from another person may be permitted to operate the catering business until the licence is granted on a provisional basis. The provisional licence should not be granted for longer than 3 months. The period may be extended if there is good cause.

    • Certificate of good conduct and information from the central trade register (both documents must be applied for at the municipality of residence)
    • Information on entries in the debtor register of the local court in whose district the applicant has had his place of residence or commercial establishment in the last 3 years
    • Floor plans and site plans in duplicate of the rooms intended for the operation of the business and for the residence of employees
    • Lease or rental agreement or proof of ownership
    • tax clearance certificate
    • Proof of training from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce
    • for legal entities (association, limited liability company, etc.) an extract from the commercial register and the shareholders' agreement or articles of association

  • Deadlines

    As a rule, the temporary restaurant licence is limited to a maximum period of validity of 3 months. It can be extended at a later date at the request of the holder - repeatedly if necessary - provided there is good cause for doing so. Good cause exists in particular if the issue of the final licence applied for is delayed for reasons for which the applicant is not responsible.
