Every owner must provide their building with the number determined by the municipality. The costs of house numbering can be imposed on the owners by the municipality's bylaws.
The numbering of the buildings helps citizens, emergency services, rescue services and postal delivery services to find the desired destination correctly and reliably, as well as the localisation of the building for the resident registration certificate.
