Gaming arcade: Apply for an operating licence

    Anyone wishing to commercially operate a gaming arcade or a similar business that exclusively or predominantly serves the purpose of installing gaming devices or organising other games within the meaning of Section 33c (1) sentence 1 or Section 33d (1) sentence 1 of the Industrial Code requires a permit from the competent authority.

  • Required documents

    • Extract from the central trade register GZR
    • Floor plan and site plan of the premises
    • Certificate of good conduct for submission to authorities
    • Social concept of a publicly recognised institution that meets the requirements of Section 6 of the State Treaty on Gambling 2021
    • Tax clearance certificate from the tax office
    • Business registration (confirmation)
    • Lease/rental agreement
    • Extract from the register of co-operatives or extract from the commercial register

  • Prerequisites

    • You have the necessary reliability.
    • Compatibility with Section 5 GlüStVAG M-V in particular is given.

  • Costs (fees, expenses, etc.)

  • Deadlines

    Time limit: 10 years

    Objection period: 1 month

  • Notes (special features)

    The law on the implementation of the Interstate Gambling Treaty must be observed. For example, a minimum distance must be maintained between gaming arcades and schools.
