- Travelling trade activities always require a permit (travelling trade licence), which can be restricted in terms of content, issued with a time limit and subject to conditions.

If you work as a showman, "travelling salesman" or owner of a market stall, i.e. if you offer your services or goods at constantly changing locations, you are operating a travelling trade. To do this, you need a travelling trade licence.
If you have a temporary travelling trade licence, you can renew it with the competent authority.If you as an EU citizen are only temporarily active across borders, you do not need a travelling trade licence.

Required documents
- Travelling trade card
- Proof of showman's liability insurance
- Certificate of good conduct for submission to authorities
- Extract from the central trade register GZR
- Tax clearance certificates from the tax office
- Business deregistration
- Extract from the register of co-operatives or extract from the commercial register
- Certificate in accordance with the Infection Protection Act (only if offering food for sale with the exception of fruit and vegetables)
The competent authority may request further documents in individual cases.
